How to say “the core” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
مُقْتَنِعَانِ بِقُشُورِ الأَعْمَالِ عَنْ خَالِصِ اللُّبَابِ،
They are content with the outward shells of deeds, away from the pure core,
اللبابِ — the core. A noun carrying 'al-' (the), the owning half of the pairing with the adjective before it, naming the inner essence they are cut off from. The definite article fixes it as the specific core in view, the opposite of the mere shells.
