Arabic vocabulary
How to say “the good” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
إِنَّ مِنْ ثَوَّابِ الْحَسَنَةِ الْحَسَنَةُ بُعْدُهَا
Indeed, among the reward for a good deed is the good that follows it.
الْحَسَنَةُ — the good. The noun 'the good' standing as the real subject of the emphatic sentence, in the subject case, held back until after its fronted predicate. Arabic can delay the subject like this when the 'among...' phrase leads, a reordering English avoids.
