And the Most High said in the chapter The Cattle:
And they swore by God with the full force of their oaths.
If a sign were to come to them, they would surely believe in it.
Say, the signs are only with God.
And what makes you think that when it comes they will not believe?
And We will turn their hearts and their eyes.
The verse: this is the interrogative particle expressing negation and repudiation.
And what makes you certain that when it comes they will not believe?
And indeed We will cause their hearts and their sights to turn just as they did not believe in it the first time.
According to the recitation of those who read it, it is pronounced with the short i vowel.
It becomes a statement of certainty that when it comes they will not believe.
And We turn their hearts and their sights just as they did not believe in it the first time.
For this reason, those among the predecessors, such as Sa'id ibn Jubayr, said:
Indeed, among the reward for a good deed is the good that follows it.
And indeed, among the punishment for an evil deed is the evil that follows it.
And it has been established in the two Sahih collections from Ibn Mas'ud from the Prophet that he said:
Be steadfast in truthfulness.
For indeed, truthfulness leads to righteousness.
And indeed, righteousness leads to Paradise.
And a man continues to tell the truth and to seek truthfulness until he is recorded with God as a truthful person.
And beware of lying.
For indeed, lying leads to wickedness.
And indeed, wickedness leads to the Fire.
And a man continues to lie and to seek falsehood until he is recorded with God as a liar.
So inform the Prophet that truthfulness entails righteousness.
And that lying entails wickedness.
And indeed the Exalted said in the chapter The Splitting Open:
Indeed, the righteous are in bliss, and indeed the wicked are in torment.
For this reason, when some of the sheikhs would order their followers to repent,
And he preferred that he not drive him away or let his heart grow weary, and he commanded him to be truthful.
For this reason, it is common in the speech of religious sheikhs and its imams.
The mention of truthfulness and sincerity.
Until they say, "Say to the one who does not speak truthfully, 'Do not follow me.'"
And they say, "Truthfulness is the sword of Allah on the earth."
There is nothing it is placed on that it does not cut.
And Yusuf ibn Asbat and others say:
God does not make any servant truthful except that He does good for him.
And there are many examples like this.
