Arabic vocabulary
How to say “be written” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَلَا يَزَالُ الرَّجُلُ يَكْذِبُ وَيَتَحَرَّى الْكَذِبَ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ كَذَّابًا
And a man continues to lie and to seek falsehood until he is recorded with God as a liar.
يُكْتَبَ — is recorded. A present-tense verb in the passive ('is recorded'), its ending shifted to subjunctive because the preceding 'until' requires it. The passive vowels mean the man undergoes the recording by God, named next.
