He, glorified be He, has established the definitive proof of the truthfulness of His Messenger and that he did not fabricate anything against Him in what he said.
صِدْقِ — the truthfulness. This noun 'truthfulness' is the front of an 'of' pair, 'truthfulness of His messenger', genitive after the preposition. It owns the noun after it and drops its own 'the', taking definiteness from the owner that follows.
From: Proof of the True Messenger →عَلَيْكُمْ بِالصِّدْقِ
Be steadfast in truthfulness.
بِالصِّدْقِ — in truthfulness. The preposition 'with/to' fused to a definite noun 'the truthfulness', which it forces into the genitive. It marks the thing one is being urged to cling to in the obligation formula before it.
From: Truthfulness and Righteousness →وَأَحَبَّ أَنْ لَا يَنْفِرَ وَيَتْعَبَ قَلْبُهُ أَمَرَهُ بِالصِّدْقِ
And he preferred that he not drive him away or let his heart grow weary, and he commanded him to be truthful.
بِالصِّدْقِ — with truthfulness. The preposition 'with/to' fused to a definite noun 'the truthfulness', which it forces into the genitive. It marks what the follower is commanded toward, yielding 'to be truthful'.
From: Truthfulness and Righteousness →وَأَنْكَرَ الشَّيْخُ وَصِدْقِ وَبِرٍّ،
The sheikh denied it, and he was truthful and pious.
وَصِدْقِ — and truthfulness. This joins a linking 'and' to a noun 'truthfulness', here standing as a descriptive state attributed to the sheikh — 'and (in) truthfulness'. The 'and' coordinates it as a quality alongside the next word.
