Arabic vocabulary
How to say “the righteous” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَفِي أَشْهَادِهَا وَفِي مَعْرِفَتِهَا الْمُؤْمِنُ وَالْكَافِرُ وَالْبَرُّ وَالْفَاجِرُ
And in its witnesses and in its knowledge are the believer and the disbeliever, the righteous and the wicked.
وَالْبَرُّ — and the righteous. The 'and' again coordinates a fresh list item, the righteous added to those before. Same coordinating job as the earlier connectors: it strings parallel nouns into one balanced series.
