Arabic vocabulary
How to say “the submission” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
بَلْ لَا يَسْتَحِقُّ الْمَحَبَّةَ وَالْخُضُوعَ التَّامَّ إِلَّا اللَّهُ
Rather, only God deserves love and complete submission.
وَالْخُضُوعَ — and the submission. The wa- links a second object to 'deserves', and the al- makes it definite while the accusative ending marks it again as a thing received by the verb. It parallels the previous object, extending the pair of things that only God merits.
