How to say “they called her” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ اِدْعُوهَا فَدَعَوْهَا،
He said, "Call her." Then they called her.
فَدَعَوْهَا — then they called her. A connector fa- ('then') fused to the past verb 'they called', whose ending marks a third-person plural subject, with a feminine object -ha ('her') attached. The fa- chains this onto the command as the carried-out result, the plural ending marks the doers, and the -ha is the mother summoned. So one word ties command to fulfilment and names both subject and object.
