Arabic vocabulary
How to say “they came” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَقَدِمُوا عَلَى مَا قَدَّمُوهُ،
And they came upon what they had sent forth.
وَقَدِمُوا — and they came. The wa- opens with 'and'. The verb is past tense, 'they came upon / arrived at', with the -u 'they' ending carrying the plural subject inside it. It sets up a confrontation: the doers meet face to face with what they had sent ahead.
