How to say “they had sent it” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَقَدِمُوا عَلَى مَا قَدَّمُوهُ،
And they came upon what they had sent forth.
قَدَّمُوهُ — they had sent it. A past-tense verb in an intensive pattern, 'they had sent forward / put ahead', with the -u 'they' ending and the object -hu ('it') fused on. The pattern carries the sense of dispatching deeds in advance, the 'it' pointing back to what the relative word introduced.
