Arabic vocabulary
How to say “they imitate” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَيُضَاهِئُونَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا
So they imitate the polytheists who said:
فَيُضَاهِئُونَ — so they imitate. This fuses the resumptive fa-, 'so', with a present-tense verb carrying a built-in 'they' subject, 'imitate, resemble'. The fa- draws the consequence, naming the upshot of their mistaken view, while the plural ending supplies the actors who do the imitating.
