How to say “they made / they fashioned” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَوَصَلَا مِنْ وَرَقِ التِّينِ وَعَمِلَا مَآزِرَ
Then they joined fig leaves together and made aprons.
وَعَمِلَا — and they made. 'Wa-' adds a second action, attaching to a past verb in the dual: the '-a' ending marks exactly two doers, Adam and Eve, making something. The dual again folds 'the two of them' into the verb form rather than using a separate word.
