فَانْفَرَجَتْ الصَّخْرَةُ فَخَرَجُوا يَمْشُونَ
Then the rock split open, and they came out walking.
يَمْشُونَ — walking. A present-tense verb whose 'they' subject is built into its ending, used here for a circumstance running alongside the main verb, 'came out, walking'. Arabic uses this present-form-as-description where English adds an '-ing' clause of manner.
