Arabic vocabulary
How to say “three” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَهَذِهِ الأَحْوَالُ الثَّلاَثُ هِيَ أَحْوَالُ النَّاسِ فِي الصِّحَّةِ وَالْمَرَضِ
These three states are the conditions of people in health and illness.
الثَّلاَثُ — the three. A definite numeral following and agreeing with 'the states', fixing the count at three. Arabic places the number after the noun and matches its definiteness, so it too carries 'al-'.
