How to say “tip” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فصوتت ميزان شهوات زليخا بذلك الصبي،
The scales of Zuleikha's desires tipped because of that boy.
فَصَوَّتَتْ — so it tipped. The prefix fa- opens the consequence. The verb carries a feminine -at ending that agrees with its subject 'the scales / balance' coming next, since Arabic verbs sit before their subjects and bend to match them in gender.
