وَعُدَّتُهُ — and his tools. This noun means 'equipment / provision' and carries an attached 'its', pointing back to preaching — 'its gear / what it is armed with'. It is the subject of a verbless sentence whose predicate follows. The possessor riding on the end is how Arabic says 'its X' in a single word.
