وَلَا يشفع زهد عِنده إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ
No one intercedes with Him except by His permission.
زُهْدٌ — asceticism. The subject of 'intercedes', indefinite nominative (the tanwin), placed after its verb. The clause echoes the Quranic statement that none may intercede with God save by His leave.

وَالزُّهْدُ — and asceticism. Joined by 'wa-', this is the second item of the 'equipment' — asceticism, renouncing the world. It is coordinated with the previous predicate, so the two together fill the 'is' slot: preaching's gear is piety AND asceticism. The link word simply adds it to the pair.

So asceticism on the ascetic is better than adornment on the one who displays herself.
فَالزُّهْدُ — so asceticism. A 'so/for' connector fused to a definite noun, 'so asceticism', opening the justification. The 'so' marks what follows as the reason behind the urging; the noun is the topic of the coming comparison.
