Arabic vocabulary
How to say “two faces” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَمِنْهُمْ الْمُنَافِقُ ذُو الْوَجْهَيْنِ
And among them is the two-faced hypocrite.
الْوَجْهَيْنِ — two faces. This noun is in the dual, Arabic's dedicated 'exactly two' form, and it is in the genitive as the owner-noun completing 'possessor of two faces'. The dual ending folds the count of two into the word, so 'two faces' needs no separate 'two'.
