Arabic vocabulary
How to say “ugly” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
إِلَى أَنْ فُرُوقَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فِي مَذَاهِبٍ سَخِيفَةٍ وَبِدَعٍ قَبِيحَةٍ
until the divisions of the Age of Ignorance became foolish doctrines and ugly innovations.
قَبِيحَةٍ — ugly. A feminine-singular adjective matching the non-human plural it describes. The single-feminine agreement is the tell that the noun it qualifies is a plural of lifeless things, not of people.
