Arabic vocabulary
How to say “wander / roam” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَجَعَلْتُ أَجُولُ فِي الْخَرَابَاتِ،
So I began to wander among the ruins,
أَجُولُ — I wander. A present-tense verb whose initial vowel marks 'I' as the doer, expressing continuous action. It completes the 'began to' verb before it, so the two together mean 'began to wander', this verb supplying the ongoing activity that was started.
