The Prophet (peace be upon him) used the example of the person with a bag containing musk;
بِصَاحِبِ — with the person. 'Bi-' (with/by) fused with 'owner / companion', governing the genitive — 'likened it to the owner of…'. The pairing 'likened + bi-' is how Arabic says 'compared X to Y', and this noun opens an 'of' chain.
