Arabic vocabulary
How to say “with us” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَقَالْوُا مَا لَكِ عِندَنَا مِنْ عُبُورٍ،
And they said: What right of passage do you have with us?
عِندَنَا — with us. A preposition fused with -na ('us') to mean 'with us / in our keeping'. It marks where the supposed right of passage would be held, framing the speakers as the ones in control. The plural 'us' is glued straight onto the preposition as one word.
