فَأَلْقَى عَلَيْهِ كَلَامًا يُؤْذِيهِ،
Then he cast words at him that would harm him.
كَلامًا — words. An indefinite noun 'speech/words', in the object form marked by the indefinite ending, naming what the devil flung at the man. Being indefinite it presents the words as some unspecified hurtful talk. A describing clause follows to say what the words do.
