How to say “wore” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ولبسوا الثوب النظيف وشموا الطيب وأمسكوا عن الحركات،
They would wear clean clothes, smell perfume, and refrain from movements.
لَبِسُوا — they wore. A past-tense verb with its plural subject 'they' built into the ending, so no separate pronoun is needed. It continues the run of habitual past actions, the doer signalled by the verb's shape.
