How to say “writings” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَفِي الْجُمْلَةِ تَرْكٌ كَتَبَةٌ الْفُنُونِ آثارًا بَارِزَةً فِي عِلْمٍ وَمُصَنَّفَاتِ ابْنِ الْجَوْزِيِّ،
Overall, the Book of Arts left notable traces on the scholarship and writings of Ibn al-Jawzi,
وَمُصَنَّفَاتِ — and writings. This token fuses the linking wa- with a plural noun that heads an 'of' link to the following name: 'and the writings of...'. The wa- adds this second domain alongside the first, both still under the opening 'in'. As the first member it leans on the owner that comes next.
