How to say “you (female) committed adultery” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَهَذِهِ الْأَمَةُ يَقُولُونَ سَرَقْتِ زَنَيْتِ وَلَمْ تَفْعَلْ
And this female slave, they say, "You stole, you committed adultery," and you did not do it.
زَنَيْتِ — you (female) committed adultery. Another past verb with the same 'you (female)' ending, the second charge thrown at her -- 'you committed adultery'. Its weak final root softens into a glide, and the '-ti' again marks the female person being accused.
