How to say “you let us hear” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
أَلاَ تَسَمَّعْنَا مِنْ هُنَيْهَاتِكَ،
Will you not let us hear some of your short verses?
تَسَمَّعْنَا — you let us hear. A present-tense verb addressed to 'you' (the singular hearer), with -na glued on as its object, 'us', so the word names both the action and the ones who would receive it. The 'you' lives in the verb's prefix while 'us' rides on the end.
