How to say “your short verses” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
أَلاَ تَسَمَّعْنَا مِنْ هُنَيْهَاتِكَ،
Will you not let us hear some of your short verses?
هُنَيْهَاتِكَ — your short verses. This noun ends in -ka, 'your', so the owner is built into the word, the verses belonging to the addressee. After the partitive preposition it takes the genitive shape, and the suffix ties the verses to the one being asked.
