وَصِيفٌ — a young attendant. An indefinite noun 'a young attendant' that is the delayed subject of the place-frame ('at the door was an attendant'); its plain subject ending and indefinite tanwin introduce someone new and unnamed. There is no 'was' word, just the place-phrase plus this subject.
