Arabic vocabulary
How to say “a fortress” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَحِصْنًا حَصِينًا لَا يَهْدِمُ وَلَا يَثْلِمُ
And a secure fortress, neither demolished nor breached.
وَحِصْنًا — and a fortress. The wa- adds the next metaphor 'and a fortress', continuing the list under 'made'. The noun it carries takes the object ending in step with the earlier images. A describing word and clauses follow to extend the image.
