Arabic vocabulary
How to say “be breached” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَحِصْنًا حَصِينًا لَا يَهْدِمُ وَلَا يَثْلِمُ
And a secure fortress, neither demolished nor breached.
يَثْلِمُ — is breached. A present verb, read passively here as 'it is breached': the fortress receives the action, the role shown by the verb's vowel shape rather than any helper word. Negated by the preceding 'and not', it gives 'nor breached'. It closes the pair of invulnerability clauses.
