How to say “a mahram” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
لَا تَخْلُوا بِاِمْرَأَةٍ غَيْرِ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ
Do not be alone with a woman who has no mahram.
مَحْرَمٍ — a mahram. A noun naming a category of close relative, the owned half of 'possessor of a mahram', so it takes the 'of' (genitive) ending. Left indefinite, it means 'a mahram', and the whole built-up phrase describes a woman who lacks such a relative present.
