Arabic vocabulary
How to say “admonitions” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
يُرَوِّحُ عَنْ النُّفُوسِ لِتَسْتَعِدَّ لِسَمَاعِ مَواعِظِهِ،
He refreshes the souls so that they are ready to hear his admonitions.
مَواعِظِهِ — his admonitions. A plural noun, 'admonitions', with a 'his' tail pointing back to the preacher, the owned object of 'hearing'. The tail packs the owner into the word, and it sits in the after-a-possessor case as what is heard.
