Arabic vocabulary
How to say “and she encountered” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَلَقِيَتْ وَقْتَ وَضْعِهِ مُزْعِجَاتٍ مُثِيرَةٍ،
And she encountered, at the time of his birth, distressing and agitating episodes.
وَلَقِيتُ — and she encountered. The front wa- joins this to the previous clause, and the verb under it is a completed-action 'met / encountered'. Despite the source's first-person vowelling, context reads its subject as the same mother, 'she encountered'. So the word continues the catalogue of what she endured.
