Arabic vocabulary
How to say “angelic” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَلَنَاقَضَ ذَلِكَ إِضَافَتَهُ إِلَى رَسُولِهِ الْمَلَكِيِّ فِي سُورَةِ التَّكْوِيرِ
And that would contradict its attribution to His angelic messenger in Surah At-Takwir.
الْمَلَكِيِّ — angelic. This is an adjective describing the messenger as 'angelic', and it agrees with that noun in definiteness, gender, and the genitive ending. Built from the word for angel with an -i ending that turns a noun into a 'belonging-to' adjective, it works like English '-ic'. Agreement is what ties it to the right noun.
