Arabic vocabulary
اسْتَغْنِ is how you say “be content” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
فصل إِذا اسْتغنى النَّاس بالدنيا فاستغن أَنْت بِاللَّه
If people become content with the world, be content with God.
فَاسْتَغْنِ — so be content. The 'fa-' launches the answer to the condition, and the verb is now a command: 'you, be self-sufficient'. Built from the same Form X verb, its weak final letter drops away in the imperative, leaving the short form.
