Arabic vocabulary
How to say “be created” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
إِنْ هَذَا كَانَ مَكْتُوبًا عَلَيَّ قِبَلًا أَنْ أُخْلَقَ
If this was written upon me before I was created.
أُخلق — be created. A passive present verb 'be created' in the subjunctive shape demanded by the 'that' particle before it. Passive because the speaker undergoes the creating rather than doing it, and Arabic marks both the passive and the subjunctive by internal vowel changes, not helper words.
