How to say “be mindful” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَقَالَ لُقْمَانُ لِابْنِهِ يَا بُنَيَّ اِعْقِلْ عَنْ اللَّهِ
And Luqman said to his son, "O my son, be mindful of God."
اِعْقِلْ — be mindful. This is a command-form verb addressed to the son, 'be mindful'. The imperative is built by stripping the present-tense prefix and clipping the ending, which is why it looks bare. It delivers the core instruction of the advice.
