and do not be like the beast whose only concern is its pasture,
كَالْبَهِيمَةِ — like the beast. The preposition 'like' fused to the front of the noun 'beast', so 'like the beast'. It governs the noun into the possessive case, and 'the' marks the known type of grazing animal being held up as the warning image.
