Arabic vocabulary
How to say “behind him” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
أُعْطِيَ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ
He was given from between his two hands and from behind him.
خَلفه — behind him. The location noun 'behind' with a 'him' fused on its end, so one word holds the place and its owner. After the preposition 'from' it takes the 'of' (genitive) ending, and the suffix fixes whose 'behind' is meant.
