فَتَزَوَّدَ وَحَمَلَ شَنَّةً لَهُ فِيهَا مَاءٌ
So he took provisions and carried a bundle for himself that contained water.
شَنَّةً — a bundle. A noun standing bare without 'the' to mean 'a bundle', and in the object case as the thing carried. Its indefiniteness, carried by its own ending, marks it as one unspecified bundle.
