Arabic vocabulary
How to say “burdens” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
والقناطير المقنطرة وما اجتمعت إلا بأوزار،
And the heaped-up treasures that are accumulated only through burdens,
بِأَوْزَارٍ — with burdens. The 'with' prefix is a preposition forcing the genitive and here marking the accompanying circumstance, 'accompanied by / at the cost of'. It links the gathering of wealth to the burdens that always came with it, so the indefinite noun presents those burdens as an inseparable price.
