How to say “clearing” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
أَمْزَحُ فِيهِ مَزْحَ أَهْلِ الْفَضْلِ وَالْمُزْحُ أَحْيَانًا جَلَاءُ الْعَقْلِ
I joke in it as people of merit do, and jesting sometimes clears the mind.
جَلَاءُ — clearing. A noun built from a verb (an action-as-noun, 'a clearing / polishing') serving as the comment made about jesting, the predicate of the verbless statement. It heads an ownership pairing with the next word, 'the clearing of the mind'.
