How to say “complain” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
لا يتضجر عند المصيبة، ولا يفرح فرحَ بطر عند النعمة
He does not grumble at misfortune, nor rejoice with arrogant joy at blessing.
يَتَضَجَّرُ — complain. A present-tense verb, 'grumbles', carrying its own 'he' subject. The present shape with the negation makes it a settled trait: he simply does not complain.
