How to say “delight” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
آيَةُ الزَّمَانِ، وَقُرَّةُ عَيْنِ الإِيمَانِ، رَئِيسُ الحَنَبْلِيَّةِ،
A marvel of the age, the delight of the eye of faith, the chief of the Hanbali school.
وَقُرَّةُ — and the delight. A praise noun 'delight' with wa- joined on front, beginning the next eulogizing phrase. The wa- here lists another epithet alongside the first; the noun heads a possessive pairing ('delight of the eye') completed by the words that follow.
