How to say “distinct units” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
لا يَكَادُ الْمُتَقَدُّ الْخَاطِرُ يَحِلُّهَا عِدَّةً،
The eager mind can hardly separate it into distinct units.
عِدَّةً — distinct units. An indefinite noun 'a count / distinct units', in the object-style case used as a specification of how the resolving is done ('into separate items'). Arabic marks such 'in respect of' nouns with this accusative. It rounds off what the eager mind can barely do.
