Arabic vocabulary
How to say “dominance” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
إِحْدَاهَا أَنْ يَكُونَ الْقَهْرُ وَالْغَلْبَةُ لِدَاعِيِّ الدَّيْنِ
One of them is that coercion and dominance belong to the advocate of religion.
وَالْغَلْبَةُ — and the dominance. The wa- on the front joins this noun to the previous one as a second subject of the 'be' clause, so both share the same nominative role. The coordination means coercion and dominance are treated as a single pair that belongs to the advocate of religion.
