How to say “emigrate” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
هَاجَرَ إِلَى الْحَبَشَةِ نَاسٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ،
Some of the Muslims emigrated to Abyssinia.
هَاجَرَ — he emigrated. A past verb with 'he' inside its form, opening the account; Arabic sets it ahead of its named subject, so it stands complete before 'people' arrives. Though its form is singular, it pairs with a collective subject to follow, a normal Arabic agreement.
