How to say “entered” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
إِذْ وَلَجَتْ عَلَيْنَا اِمْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ،
When a woman from the Helpers entered upon us,
وَلَجَتْ — and she entered. Past-tense verb 'entered' with a feminine -t ending marking the doer as 'she', whose identity (a woman) is named a few words later. The verb leads and the subject follows, as Arabic usually orders it.
