Arabic vocabulary
How to say “ever” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
هَذَا مَا كَانَ فِي سَيْرِهِمْ قِطُّ ،
This was never part of their conduct.
قِطُّ — ever. An emphatic adverb that drives home a negation about past time, 'never, not ever'. It reinforces the denial in the clause, stressing that at no point was such a thing part of their way; its whole job is to strengthen the 'not' already there.
